Formados en la Ciudad de México en 2012, Vinnum Sabbathi construye un viaje sonoro pesado basado en riffs lentos y aplastantes, samples inspirados en la ciencia ficción y la ciencia, creando paisajes instrumentales inmersivos que suelen describirse como la banda sonora de eventos cósmicos y científicos.
Después de lanzar sus primeros EPs y splits, la banda debutó con su primer larga duración, Gravity Works (2017), seguido de Of Dimensions and Theories (2020), expandiendo su alcance con giras en México y Europa, además de presentaciones en festivales como Sonic Blast Fest, Desertfest London y Astral Fest.
En 2023, la banda lanzó Silent Future, un álbum colaborativo con REZN como parte de la serie PostWax de Blues Funeral.
Su lanzamiento más reciente, Intersatelital (2025), explora la relación de México con la exploración espacial, inspirado en las misiones satelitales Morelos y en el legado del primer astronauta mexicano, Rodolfo Neri Vela.
Vinnum Sabbathi continúa llevando la música pesada instrumental hacia territorio cósmico mediante jams hipnóticos, texturas atmosféricas y una profunda fascinación por la ciencia, el espacio y la evolución tecnológica de la humanidad.
Formed in Mexico City in 2012, Vinnum Sabbathi crafts a heavy sonic journey built on slow, crushing riffs and sci-fi/science-inspired samples, creating immersive instrumental soundscapes often described as the soundtrack to cosmic and scientific events.
After releasing early EPs and splits, the band debuted their first full-length, Gravity Works (2017), followed by Of Dimensions and Theories (2020), expanding their reach through extensive touring in Mexico and Europe, performing at festivals like Sonic Blast Fest, Desertfest London, and Astral Fest.
In 2023, the band released Silent Future, a collaborative record with REZN as part of Blues Funeral’s PostWax series.
Their latest release, Intersatelital (2025), explores Mexico’s relationship with space exploration, inspired by the Morelos satellite missions and the legacy of Mexico’s first astronaut, Rodolfo Neri Vela.
